◎Detailed, child-friendly penmanship, a veranda's perspective soaked in Taiwanese flavor—a special outlook on culture and life that can only belong to Taiwan.
◎Discovering new perspectives and panoramas from seemingly normal and old sights.
◎Highly praised by the following: Yi-Feng Wang, Jia-Lie Ke (author of 繪本教養地圖), Xia Ling, Xiao-Yin Huang (children's literature expert), and Jia-Ling Lai (writer).
My name is "Teng a kha", but some people just call me a veranda. I'm a house with two long legs.
Every day, so, so many people walk by my legs.
I can't go anywhere, but I meet all kinds of people from all walks of life, every single day.
A lady in blue, the young man in glasses, and so, so many motorbikes… Every day is so busy, so interesting!
Have you walked by my legs today, too?
Under the long-legged house, you'll find the memories that we share…

About Rachel Chen
Born in Fengyuan of Taichung county, Chen graduated from the Kyoto University of Art and Design in Japan. She is now comfortably nested in New Taipei City’s Yonghe District, doing jobs related to illustration and picture book making. She likes taking note of the different sights and panoramas in life, particularly the messy, chaotic ones, the sights that deliberately facilitate mindless wandering.
