I Don’t Want to Play with You Anymore 我不要跟你玩了!
By Huang, Yu-Chin
The Big Furry Bear is five-years old, now he needs to learn how to "play" with his friends…
One day, the Big Bear walks into the forest and happily greets his friends. The Big Bear joins an apple-picking competition. With great confidence that he could climb high and fast, the Big Bear believes he is able to beat others easily. However, the Little Monkey climbs higher and faster than him and picks the red apple in a minute. Everyone cheers for the Little Monkey. The Big Bear gets angry, he shouts to the Little Monkey, "I don’t want to play with you anymore!"
Children will be able to relate to the Big Bear's desire to win and depress when he loses. The book offers a great opportunity for parents to remind their children that there are more important things than winning. The pleasure and surprise experienced during the progress are more meaningful than the result.
