As the traditional industry of glass making declines, the narrator's grandfather, who has devoted his whole life to the art, also grows older and gets sick while no one is willing to inherit his skills. The narrator's father decides to go back to the countryside to help preserve the traditional craft. The author's special use of print creates a warm atmosphere to remind readers of the value of heritage.

About Zhang, Xiu-Yu
Born in Hsinchu County, Zhang studied education at Chung-Cheng University. She went on teach art in premier schools. Creating art has played an important role in her life; sharing her stories and drawing with kids are her favorite part of it. Her self-made picture book about Matsu(媽祖) was awarded and well-received. Now, she has moved to Taichung County and devotes her time entirely to making picture books.
